Stephanie Denton Baucus is a Senior Associate who joined Kirstein & Young
in 2007. Mrs. Baucus has practiced law in Washington, DC for over five
years with large international law firms, and her practice has involved
aviation, regulatory and legislative work, antitrust, insurance,
bankruptcy, corporate criminal defense, and complex international
litigation.
Mrs. Baucus is experienced in representing airlines in regulatory
proceedings and other matters; representing Fortune 500 corporations,
foreign sovereigns, and international organizations in litigation,
international arbitration, investigations, and regulatory proceedings;
representing clients in criminal and civil antitrust matters;
conducting internal investigations; responding to grand jury
investigations; drafting corporate compliance programs; preparing
clients for self-reporting of potential FCPA violations; representing
clients in a variety of criminal cases, including banking, energy
trading, insurance, mortgage law, and allegations of wire fraud; and
advising multinational clients on debarment and sanctions processes for
contractors. Her practical experience includes advising clients on
legal matters and enforcement, making government presentations,
conducting interviews, managing investigations, analyzing documents and
facts, drafting persuasive motions and pleadings, preparing government
submissions, managing discovery, and coordinating document reviews and
productions.
Mrs. Baucus has particular substantive expertise with U.S. civil
procedure, the FCPA and other international bribery statutes, FOIA,
debarment procedures, RICO, mortgage fraud, wire fraud, and federal
antitrust laws.
